Netflix has unveiled the new cast members joining ‘Stranger Things’ in its fifth and final season alongside first look from the highly popular series.
The new cast members include Nell Fisher (‘Bookworm’, ‘Choose Love’), Jake Connelly, and Alex Breaux (‘Joe Pickett’, ‘Waco: The Aftermath’). They will be joining another new previously announced cast member Linda Hamilton (‘The Terminator’, ‘Children of the Corn’, ‘Chuck’) alongside retuning cast members.
‘Stranger Things’ season 5 started filming in January this year and as of July 15 it is halfway through filming. In the Behind The Scenes video launched today, the cast is seen returning to shoot and reminiscing about it all. They are all excited about the last season which according to them is going to be the best.
The video also gives hints as to what will happen in this final season aftermath of the cataclysmic event in the Season 4 finale, with the Upside Down seeping into Hawkins. The town and Hawkins High School also seem fine.
Although ‘Stranger Things’ will end with season 5 but the franchise will carry on with a stage show ‘Stranger Things: The First Shadow’, in London’s West End and an untitled animated spinoff series in the works at Netflix.
