Netflix has unveiled the very first official teaser for In Your Dreams, an upcoming animated musical fantasy comedy starring the likes of Simu Liu, Cristin Milioti, Craig Robinson, Omid Djalili, Gia Carides, and SungWon Cho.
Directed by Alex Woo and Erik Benson, the film tells the story of two siblings exploring their bizarre dream world. They’re searching for the legendary Sandman, believing he can fulfill their deepest desire: to have the ideal family and save their parents’ marriage. Director Woo recently showcased a version of the film at the Annecy Animation Festival.
The siblings we’ll see in the movie are Stevie (voiced by Jolie Hoang-Rappaport) and Elliot, Stevie’s younger brother (voiced by Elias Janssen).
In addition to directing In Your Dreams, Alex Woo also wrote the story and screenplay. Erik Benson co-penned the story as well. The production companies behind the film are Netflix Animation and Kuku Studios.
In the latest teaser, we see Stevie and Elliot embark on an adventure inside their dreams. Despite their differences, the two opposites learn to work together after falling into their own subconscious. Their unusual journey through the dream world introduces them to strange characters like Baloney Tony (a sarcastic stuffed giraffe voiced by Craig Robinson), a carnivorous hot dog, menacing zombie breakfast items, and the formidable queen of nightmares.
In Your Dreams is set to premiere on Netflix on November 14.
