‘Dark Desire’ is a Spanish series that premiered on 15h July, on Netflix. It’s a tale of a woman who spends few days away from home and this turns out to be a life changing vacation. It reveals to her certain things that make her feel the need to reconsider the truth, and her mistakes on the trip turn her life into hell. On the other hand, Netflix’s orginal ‘365 Days’ (Polish- 365 Dni) follows a man willing to imprison a woman and granting her 365 days to fall in love with him. Singer Duffy even filed a petition to take down this movie from the streaming platform as it glorifies Stockholm Syndrome and abuse.
‘Dark Desire’ is said to have shower scenes, nudity and other ‘wrestling’ sequences. The visuals of such scenes overpower their basic theme, which is supposed to be a suspense and psychological thriller. Viewers have mixed feelings!
Some say it’s like watching the older controversial movie all over again. Some call it a mixture of Netflix’s ‘You’ and ‘365 Days.’ The other set of subscribers are praising it left, right, and centre. They find it’s engaging, binge-watch worthy and a 10/10 recommend.
