Netflix has revealed its lineup of feature films for 2025, announcing release dates for several titles alongside first-look images and upcoming teasers. Despite reports of scaling back on films, the list makes it evident that the streaming giant remains committed to delivering major event movies.
The company has unveiled the release windows for several highly anticipated films, including Skydance’s sequel The Old Guard 2 (starring Charlize Theron), Stephen Chbosky’s Nonnas (starring Linda Cardellini and Lorraine Bracco), Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein, Noah Baumbach’s Jay Kelly, and Matt Damon and Ben Affleck’s upcoming cop thriller RIP. Additionally, Rian Johnson’s Knives Out threequel, titled Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery, will once again feature Daniel Craig.

Documentaries include Air Force Elite: Thunderbirds+, providing an inside look at the U.S. Air Force’s flight squadron, and Eddie, a deep dive into Eddie Murphy’s legendary career.
Dramas & Thrillers feature The Ballad of a Small Player (starring Colin Farrell as a high-stakes gambler in Macau), Night Always Comes (Vanessa Kirby as a woman fighting for her future), and Straw (Tyler Perry’s thriller about a single mother caught in dire circumstances).
Comedies include Happy Gilmore 2 (Adam Sandler returns) and The Thursday Murder Club (Helen Mirren, Pierce Brosnan, and Ben Kingsley solving crimes).
Animated Films feature In Your Dreams (siblings navigating dreamland), K-Pop: Demon Hunters (a K-Pop group battling demons), and Pookoo (a woodland creature and bird adventure).
Romantic Comedies include Champagne Problems (an M&A exec’s romance in France), My Oxford Year (a woman’s life-changing experience at Oxford), and Lost in Starlight (an Earth-Mars love story).
