Another day, another Netflix trailer/ teaser drop. And again, we are graced with another European content, this time belonging to the horror genre. The teaser for the very scary film ‘A Classis Horror Story‘ released on the official YouTube channel of Netflix an hour back and the short one-minute teaser had us experiencing goosebumps, despite most of the teaser being a couple of long shots with a very ominous background. Nothing about the film is revealed in the teaser, nor has any synopsis provided with an inkling about the plot of the film, but then again, that’s how it should be. Horror films are supposed to make one antsy and not give away the plot in five minutes and that’s exactly what the teaser of ‘A Classic Horror Story’ does.
The teaser starts off with a classic Italian tune which sounds very ominous (as mentioned earlier) and out of place (yet somehow, still “in place’, if that makes sense) in this promotional video. The first shot of the promotional video slowly closes in on a one-of-a-kind cottage, with a some-what “upbeat” tune playing in the background. We then get a close up of a stuffed stag head mounted on a wall, which is then followed by a man appearing to torture another man.
Europe continues to produce as varied content as its many countries and they continue to be the projects that Indians end up watching, a lot. Shows like ‘Money Heist‘ and ‘Dark’ are good examples of such shows and we expect there to be quite a niche fanbase (within the Indian subscription base) for some visually brilliant horror scenes.
