Cameron Diaz is back and kicking some serious butt in the new trailer for Netflix’s Back in Action. Alongside her, Jamie Foxx is also bringing the action, looking as sharp as ever. It’s wild to think that Diaz’s last movie was Annie, which came out in 2014 and also starred Foxx. Now, we’re seeing the duo reunite after ten long years.
The latest clip introduces the leading duo’s children, Alice (McKenna Roberts) and Leo (Rylan Jackson). Roberts has starred in HBO’s Euphoria, while Jackson appeared in Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. The family arrives at a gas station to refuel and grab some snacks, only to be ambushed by a gang of motorcyclists.
Soon, the kids discover that their parents aren’t ordinary people. Instead, they were former spies for the CIA who left the agency to start a family and live a normal life. However, their cover is compromised, leaving the duo and their children exposed and in danger.
Alongside Cameron Diaz and Jamie Foxx, the film features an impressive cast, including Kyle Chandler, Glenn Close, and Andrew Scott.
Seth Gordon has directed Back in Action. He’s known for films like Four Christmases (2008), Horrible Bosses (2011), Identity Thief (2013), and Baywatch (2017). Gordon also co-wrote the script with Brendan O’Brien. The movie will debut on Netflix on January 17. Check out the new trailer!
