Netflix’s upcoming thriller ‘End Of The Road’ will star Queen Latifah, who will also executive produce it. The film will be directed by Millicent Shelton for the global streaming giant.
‘End Of The Road’ on Netflix follows the story of a recently widowed Brenda who after losing her job, drives her family cross-country to start a new life. In the New Mexico desert, cut off from help, they must learn to fight back when they become the targets of a mysterious killer.
David Loughery (‘The Intruder’, ‘Obsessed’) serves as the writer for ‘End Of The Road’, which he will adapt from an original screenplay by Christopher Moore.
Other than Latifah, Flavor Unit Entertainment’s Shakim Compere will also executive produce the Netflix film. The producers for ‘End Of The Road’ are Tracey Edmonds for Edmonds Entertainment (‘Soul Food’, ‘Jumping the Broom’); Mark Burg for Twisted Pictures (‘Saw’, ‘John Q’, ‘Spiral’) and Brad Kaplan (‘The Intruder’).
The film stars Academy award nominee Queen Latifah in the lead who is known for her works like ‘Girls Trip’ and ‘Hairspray’. She was also recently seen in the Netflix miniseries ‘Hollywood’ by Ryan Murphy and her next project with the streaming platform includes Adam Sandler starrer sports drama ‘Hustle’.
Millicent Shelton, an Emmy nominee, who is set to direct ‘End Of The Road’ is a well known director and has previously worked on a variety of comedies and dramas like ‘Insecure’, ‘Hunters’, ‘The Walking Dead’, ‘Titans’, ‘Black-ish’.
The release date for ‘End Of The Road’ is yet to be announced by Netflix.
