One of the best releases of 2020 was Anurag Basu’s ‘Ludo’ on Netflix. It was received very well by the audience and film critics give nothing but positive reviews. Produced under the banner of T-series, ‘Ludo’ had a star-studded cast including Aditya Roy Kapur, Sanya Malhotra, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Rajkummar Rao, Abhishek Bachchan, Pankaj Tripathi, Rohit Saraf, Pearle Manny, and Inayat Varma. This anthology of crime and comedy is likely to come back with a sequel! Yes, you read it right. Writer and director Anurag Basu has revealed that he has already finished writing the script for ‘Ludo 2’. He further said that the script is completely ready and he can start filming whenever he wants but wishes to wait for a while as it has been less than 6 months the since first part released.
“I’ve discussed the film with Bhushan Ji also. Because ‘Ludo’ was a success, he was keen we start the film but I don’t want to, as of now. I want to explore some more films, take a gap of two-three films and then come back to the sequel,” said Anurag Basu in an interview.
Anurag has been tight-lipped about the story, cast, and releasing platform. Since the first part was commercially successful on Netflix, our guess is that this sequel will be again on the steaming giant.
