Netflix’s recent commitment to Korean shows is definitely commendable, and as they are now expanding their cast for “Mr. Plankton,” Netflix is considering some big names, including a star from the popular medical drama.
Alex Landi, from Grey’s Anatomy, now joins the cast of the upcoming Korean dramedy.
Besides Alex, there are some big names attached to the project. Woo Do Hwan will play the role of Hae Jo, and Lee You Mi will also be there, along with the likes of Oh Jung Se, Kim Min Seok, and Kim Hae Sook.
Talking about the plot of the show, it is being summarized as, “Hae Jo is a man whose heart is empty because he owns nothing. Hae Jo dreams of a colorful future away from his gloomy plankton-like life where he feels like he doesn’t belong anywhere and doesn’t have anyone he cares about. Jo Jae Mi is someone who will give Hae Jo an infinite amount of love and want to become his family.”
As of now, Netflix hasn’t shared a release date for the show, but you can expect a 2024 release date, most likely in the final quarter (September to December).
