Netflix dropped the first full trailer for the keenly awaited new season of its blockbuster hit show, Stranger Things. The 3&1/2 minute long trailer of Stranger Things Season 4 shows off the terrifying new monster on the heels of Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) and gang. Stranger Things Season 4 will premiere on Netflix in two volumes. Volume 1 will premiere on May 27, while Volume 2 will drop on Netflix on July 1.
It’s all out war in Stranger Things Season 4, as a terrifying new monster spreads out its tentacles to destroy Hawkins and Eleven’s world. The only one who can do anything about it is Eleven herself, but she’s lost her powers. Even the gang’s not together anymore, navigating the complexities of high school in each of their own worlds. The events of Stranger Things Season 4 take place six months after the events of the last season, and the showdown at Hawkins’ Starcourt Mall.
Will Eleven and her gang of friends be able to beat the horrifying new supernatural threat, and put an end to the gruesome horrors of the Upside Down once and for all? Stranger Things Season 4 is likely to give us definite answers to this most vexing of questions.
Most of the characters return to reprise their roles from the previous seasons of Stranger Things. Winona Ryder (Joyce Byers), David Harbour (Jim Hopper), Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven), Finn Wolfhard (Mike Wheeler), Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin Henderson), Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas Sinclair), Noah Schnapp (Will Byers), Sadie Sink (Max Mayfield), among others, will be seen in Stranger Things Season 4.
Stranger Things is created by The Duffer Brothers, directed by them, along with Shawn Levy and Nimród Antal. It is produced by Monkey Massacre Productions & 21 Laps Entertainment. The Duffer Brothers serve as executive producers, alongside Shawn Levy, Dan Cohen, Iain Paterson. and Curtis Gwinn.
Stranger Things Season 4 will release on Netflix in two parts. Volume 1 releases on May 27, while Volume 2 releases five weeks later, on July 1. The new season has a total of 9 episodes. There’s no word yet on how many episodes will premiere in each part.
