Netflix will soon submit its earnings report. Needless to say, this is perhaps the most important and awaited report of the platform as today, it will determine the fate of the biggest streaming platform globally.
Although Netflix is still the most subscribed OTT platform throughout the globe, the condition of the company is not healthy. Talking about this year itself, it has lost over 70% of its value and the stock prices are pathetic.
Trade pundits are divided over what is going to happen today, some are claiming that there would be an even greater subscriber loss than the projected 2 million while some are claiming the opposite.
Netflix’s Chief Financial Officer Spencer Neumann said in a statement, “We will grow revenue. And there will be paid net add growth”.
But whatever they may say, the condition of Netflix doesn’t appear to be fine. It is more expensive than all major streaming platforms, and the content it is creating is pretty average. And there is something terrible going on with those who approve scripts.
The pathetic critical response to The Gray Man, cringe bin in Netflix India, their decision to go after password sharing and so much more are acting against the growth of the platform.
But today it will all be clear. Let’s wait for what Netflix has lost or gained so far.
