Netflix’s latest addition to its anime arsenal, Terminator Zero, is now available to stream. As a result, critics have started to flood social media with their reactions to the newest Terminator entry. Check out what they are saying about the show!
The majority of the first reactions to Terminator Zero have been highly positive, with special praise directed at the show’s animation, violence, gore, voice performances (particularly Andre Holland and Timothy Olyphant), and storyline. Some critics have even declared the show the best entry to the Terminator franchise since 1991’s Terminator 2: Judgment Day, which marked the second collaboration between Arnold Schwarzenegger and director James Cameron.
Showrunner Mattson Tomlin has also received praise for giving the Terminator franchise an entirely new direction through his latest anime project. Overall, the series looks fresh, intense, hardcore, and realistic, and promises to offer plenty of twists.
Set in 1990s Japan, Terminator Zero revolves around Malcolm Lee, a scientist, who tries to develop another AI system, strong enough to compete against Skynet. As the notorious Judgment Day approaches in 1997, Lee finds himself and his kids pursued by a dangerous Terminator from 2o22. Things turn chaotic after a mysterious soldier from the future comes to the rescue of Lee and his children.
All episodes of Terminator Zero are now streaming on Netflix. Enjoy! As for the show’s first reactions, we have compiled some of them for you! Right here!
Terminator Zero is sprinkled with twists, sleek action and intricate philosophies about the human nature of self destruction. Without the weight of legacy characters the series is free to do it's own thing while injecting the familiar time travel journeys to save humanity. pic.twitter.com/Z7spfrh1ki

3 eps into Terminator Zero
Still processing the joy of seeing this franchise in anime. Solid so far. Wish some moments were bit more believable, but they make interesting scenes so can't complain much. It's intense, looks great, mostly realistic, and has a good sense of threat. pic.twitter.com/YZNAMwJWW6

TERMINATOR ZERO is an action-packed, thrilling story that hits the gas from the word "GO" and never stops. It takes classic Terminator themes, explores them more profoundly, and packs a considerable punch! I adored the world-building and animation in this. Bravo, @mattsontomlin! pic.twitter.com/pEvMXAezKN
