The Kissing Booth has become one of the most celebrated movie franchises coming out from Netflix. The teen romantic drama film starring Joey King in the lead role released back in 2018 and the sequel of the movie came out in 2020. Fans were wondering whether there will be the third part of their beloved movie, and to their immense shock and pleasure, the makers revealed that they were shooting for the third movie as well simultaneously with the second part.
Which means that the third movie got completed with the second part itself. But the makers had to deliver the second part on the due date and hence the post-production work of the third movie was put on hold for a while. With Covid-19 restrictions, the work was going on at a low rate and hence, the makers now have resumed the remaining work and are going strong.
Regarding the updates for the film, Joey King herself stated that the third movie of The Kissing Booth Franchise also known as ‘The Kissing Booth 3’ will be arriving in Summer 2021. King recently won the People’s Choice Award for Best Comedy Star 2020 for The Kissing Booth 2 and there she made the statement regarding the future of the movie. She also stated that all the previous cast members of the movie will be returning for the third installment.
The Kissing Booth 3 will be focusing on the story of Elle Evans, continuing from where the second movie ended. Elle has been accepted for both Berkeley and Harvard University where Lee and Noah are already going respectively. She has to choose again between the two of them and the third movie will be focusing on how mature Elle has become regarding the decision making.
