Streaming giant Netflix has just launched the first trailer for its much awaited movie ‘The Last Kingdom: Seven Kings Must Die’. The movie will serve as a conclusion to Netflix’s popular ‘The Last Kingdom’ series. Netflix has also announced a release date for ‘The Last Kingdom: Seven Kings Must Die’. The film will premiere on the streaming platform on April 14, 2023.
‘The Last Kingdom: Seven Kings Must Die’ will take the compelling story of Uhtred of Bebbanburg to its rightful conclusion, one that will satisfy the millions of fans of the period drama series. Set in 9th-10th century England, ‘The Last Kingdom: Seven Kings Must Die’ will see Uhtred battle for the crown of England following the death of King Edward, and engage in a last-ditch effort to finally unify England.
The ‘The Last Kingdom: Seven Kings Must Die’ trailer showcases several action-packed battle sequences, which are certain to be in plenty in the movie. Alexander Dreymon returns to reprise his role as Uhtred of Bebbanburg, along with Mark Rowley as Finan, Arnas Fedaravicius as Sihtric, Rod Hallett as King Constantin, Harry Gilby as Aethelstan, among others.
‘The Last Kingdom: Seven Kings Must Die’ is also based on the series of novels ‘Saxon Stories’, written by Bernard Cornwell, just like this series. The film is directed by Ed Bazalgette, who also directed several episodes of the series in Season 3 & 4.
