Netflix’s “The Surgeon’s Cut” Shows Reality of a Surgeon’s World

The Surgeon’s Cut” will be streaming on Netflix soon from December 9. This will be yet another documentary series that is going to be added to the list of the ones released this year. But, this is no random documentary; this is a visionary one in all forms. Journey of four surgeons that have not only excelled in their field over the years and have become an institute in themselves, it also speaks of the different barriers they had to break to reach to the point they are at right now.

A doctor’s job is no joke and we have seen this very well throughout this year. We love watching medical dramas and they tend to become quite famous as they show not only procedures, surgeries but also the raw emotions that one goes through from the patient’s point of view or be it from the doctor’s point of view and also the family’s point of view, we see all those. One of those is the very famous and much loved show Gray’s Anatomy, which has reeled people in for 17 seasons now, besides that, there are so many other good medical drama shows that we have probably watched, be it House, The Good Doctor, Chicago Med and for South Korean drama fans, that isn’t a genre unexplored. There have been so many good k-dramas like the Hospital Playlist, Doctors, Hospital Ship and so many others.

But there is always a thing about these, since these are dramas they need to focus on the human emotions of the doctors who play the main leads for sure and that is where we end up not knowing what else could be there. This is where “The Surgeon’s Cut” comes in, even though the focus is on the doctor for sure, the focus is made in such a way that the patients are our supreme target. From cutting edge technology to difficult decisions in surgery, this show will give us the glimpse of all. The series has focused on difficult issues from which these doctors have risen up and are now being made a part of history. Issues like poverty, racism, sexism and places where they come from, will tell us the inner story of their lives and what it means to them when it comes to saving a life. This makes the series even more a must watch.

Coming together for the first time, Netflix and BBC Studios’ Science Unit brings this series of four episodes that will show the story of four doctors from around the world, who are known for their skill and field they work in.

Also, an additional information, an Indian doctor is being featured in this series, which makes it a must watch. Dr. Devi Shetty from Bangalore, a renowned cardiologist around the world and the founder of Narayana Healthcare and Hospitals will be coming up in the cardiologist specialist of the series.
