Netflix’s epic fantasy drama ‘The Witcher’ has now officially begun production for the third instalment. The show has had two successful seasons and fans have been waiting eagerly for the next one.
The wait is finally over as Netflix shared the news on social media with a picture of the lead stars from the sets based in a snow covered region. The description read, “Our family is back together again. #TheWitcher Season 3 is officially in production!”

Netflix also revealed the official plot summary for season 3 of ‘The Witcher’ that read, “As monarchs, mages, and beasts of the Continent compete to capture her, Geralt takes Ciri of Cintra into hiding, determined to protect his newly-reunited family against those who threaten to destroy it. Entrusted with Ciri’s magical training, Yennefer leads them to the protected fortress of Aretuza, where she hopes to discover more about the girl’s untapped powers; instead, they discover they’ve landed in a battlefield of political corruption, dark magic, and treachery. They must fight back, put everything on the line – or risk losing each other forever.”

While there is no official cast reveal for ‘The Witcher’ season 3, going by the reports Henry Cavill and will be joined by Freya Allen, Anya Chalotra, Joey Batey, Royce Pierreson, Anna Shaffer and Kim Bodnia among others.
‘The Witcher’ season 3 is part of the Witcher universe that also includes a second anime feature film, and a new Kids and Family series set in the world of The Witcher.
