I’m sure that all of you must have envisioned a planet where people of different races and religions coexist peacefully. Must have even thought of a place that you would be proud to call your home but the truth is that coexisting together isn’t always easy. Netflix’s Torbaaz takes us on a journey to show us the kind of ire and biases that have to be faced by people who live in refugee camps.
The middle east has been a difficult terrain to navigate in the last few decades as terrorist organizations have crept up and have tried to manipulate the masses for their profit. The ones who suffer the most due to all this hostility are the fragile youth whose minds are still very malleable, and Netflix’ Torbaaz highlights these issues.
An ex-army doctor tries to bring some solace and joy in the lives of the children in an Afghanistani refugee camp through cricket. He has to fight the biases of the world, the ruthless leader of a terrorist organization and many other obstacles so that he can bring a smile to the faces of these children.
Many times, people have this notion about refugees and immigrants, quite a few people even accuse them of having ulterior motives but what people do not see is the troubles that they are facing and have to face throughout their life. Netflix’s Torbaaz helps you view the life of these people in such a context.
Netflix’s Torbaaz will release on their platform on 11th December.
