Cooking shows are something that is loved by all of us. We love to see these great chefs create culinary beauties and sometimes, we watch just to satisfy ourselves. We might not be able to eat those, but there’s no harm in watching it. Well, thankfully, this isn’t something that is loved just by us; in fact celebrities like Selena Gomez, Katy Perry etc have all indulged in the trend. The latest to join the bandwagon is none other than Michelle Obama.
Yes, you heard it right Michelle Obama is coming up with a cooking show on Netflix and this won’t just be a cooking show. The former First Lady of the United States will be diving deep into the culinary world not just with the cooking aspect but also by including aspects like exploring and knowing about various cuisines around the world. Along with it, the show’s prime focus would be to teach kids to eat the right kind of food. As a child, anyone is attached to the tastes of packaged food, the show will try and show the importance and value of a good, home cooked meal.
The show is named Waffles + Mochi and will feature Michelle Obama, along with two cute puppets Waffles and Mochi, who will be travelling around the world and across the US to find out more about different cultures and cuisines. This is touted to be a kid’s show because of the puppets included in it, but let’s be honest we have Michelle Obama in it, anyone and everyone will be attracted to it. With picturesque locations and mouth watering recipes from around the world, Waffles + Mochi is a loaded 10 episodes series.
Since, it is a show by Michelle Obama, who would want to miss a chance of being associated with her, that’s why many other celebrities like Jack Black, Zach Galifianakis, Rashida Jones, Sia, Mandy Moore and more will be making guest appearances too. The show will also be bringing top chefs like Massimo Bottura and Jose Andres to impart some more knowledge. The show will be streaming from the 16th of March on Netflix.
