Jennifer Aniston and her Echo Films partner Kristin Hahn are producing a “9 to 5” reimagining for 20th Century Studios.
With Diablo Cody the studio is working on the draft of the reimagination.
The original “9 to 5” story revolves around a female employee who plots a revenge plan against her egoistic sexist boss.
The 1980 instalment of this office satire, starred Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, Dolly Parton and Dabney Coleman.
Parton, Tomlin and Fonda took part in the 2022 documentary “Still Working 9 to 5,” which focuses on the influence of the classic film 40 years later.
Aniston recently produced “The Morning Show,” the “Murder Mystery” film series and “Friends: The Reunion.”
The 1980s movie was directed by Colin Higgins and written by Patricia Resnick.
Alongside writing and performing the song “9 to 5” for the film, Parton wrote the music and lyrics for the Tony-nominated musical adaptation of the same name.
Although no information about the reimagination is still. But, the fans of Aniston are eagerly waiting for the bomb to drop.
