Disney Plus has just dropped the first look and release date for its much-awaited new ‘Goosebumps’ series. The series will premiere simultaneously on Disney Plus and Hulu in the US on 13th October, 2023. The first five episodes of the series will drop on 13th October at the time of the premiere. The remaining five episodes will drop on Disney Plus in subsequent weeks, at the rate of one episode per week.
Disney Plus’ ‘Goosebumps’ series is the live action adaptation of the iconic horror book series from R.L. Stine. The book series is nothing short of a pop cultural phenomenon, especially among youngsters. The ‘Goosebumps’ series is developed by Nicholas Stoller (The Muppets) and Rob Letterman (Pokémon Detective Pikachu).
The series follows five high schoolers as they embark on a shadowy and twisted journey to investigate the tragic passing three decades earlier of a teen named Harold Biddle. Along the way, they unearth dark secrets from their parents’ past. The five high school kids will be played by Zack Morris (EastEnders), Isa Briones (Star Trek: Picard), Miles McKenna (Guilty Party), Ana Yi Puig (Gossip Girl) and Will Price (The Equalizer).
The Goosebumps series will premiere in India on Disney Plus Hotstar. Though there’s no official date for its release yet, we think that it will premiere in India, along with its US premiere.
