Producers Aashirvad Cinemas has just dropped a new poster for their upcoming Malayalam film ‘Neru’. The new poster effectively reveals that ‘Neru’ will stick to its original release date of 21st December, 2023.
Malayalam film ‘Neru’ is a courtroom drama, with veteran actor Mohanlal playing a lawyer in the film. The new Neru poster shows Mohanlal in the distinguished garb of a lawyer – the first poster of the film to do so. Earlier posters for Neru had merely depicted a sombre and staid looking Mohanlal, sitting with a book of law in his hand. We get our first glimpse at Mohanlal’s lawyer persona in the new Neru poster.

Neru reunites the blockbuster combination of Mohanlal and stellar filmmaker Jeethu Joseph for their fifth film together, after Drishyam, Drishyam 2, 12th Man and the upcoming Ram. Actress Priyamani will play the female lead in ‘Neru’.
Neru’ is written by Jeethu Joseph and actress Santhi Mayadevi. The latter had also acted in Joseph’s Drishyam 2. Santhi Mahadevi is a lawyer by profession, and thus is the best co-writer for Neru, given that it is a legal thriller. The movie is produced by Antony Perumbavoor, under his production banner of Aashirvad Cinemas.
