Streaming giant Netflix has just dropped the first teaser and release date for a new Korean drama ‘The Bequeathed’. The suspense thriller series premieres on Netflix worldwide on 19th January, 2024.
Netflix’s new Korean series ‘The Bequeathed’ comes from Yeon Sang-ho, the creator of hit Korean titles, ‘Hellbound’ and ‘Train To Busan’. Yeon Sang-ho is the creator and co-writer of ‘The Bequeathed’, alongside Hwang Eun-young and series director Min Hong-nam. The series is adapted from a popular webtoon created by Kang Tae-kyung.
The Bequeathed stars Hellbound actress Kim Hyun-joo as the lead protagonist. The story follows her character Yoon Seo-ha, who inherits a family burial ground after the death of her uncle. A strange man approaches her at the funeral, claiming to be her half-brother, Young-ho (Ryu Kyung-soo), demanding his share of the family burial ground. Matters are further complicated by a series of mysterious murders, which brings police officers Seong-joon and Sang-min to her doorstep.
Seong-joon is played by Park Hee-soon (My Name), while Park Byung-eun (Moving) plays Sang-min. The teaser for The Bequeathed is dark and dangerous, just like the series promises to be. Suspenseful events take place in the teaser, with plenty of blood and gore to keep fans of the genre thrilled.
