The Covid third wave has messed up the release plans of several mainstream South Indian biggies. Multiple biggies, including RRR, Radhe Shyam, Valimai, and Valimai had to postpone the release plan in view of the Covid outbreak and the subsequent restrictions on cinema halls. Here is a new report and the proposed new theatrical release date of these biggies.
Interestingly enough, RRR which was initially announced for release on 18 March or 28 April has deferred this release plan. The latest updates imply that RRR will be releasing in theatres on the 25th of March. An official announcement on the same is awaited though.
As for Radhe Shyam, it is all but confirmed that the film will be releasing on the 11th of March. The makers are likely to announce the release date very soon. After multiple postponements, the Prabhas and Pooja Hegde starrer is finally on course for theatrical release.
Coming to Valimai, the Ajith Kumar starrer is confirmed to release on the 24th of February. The film will have a simultaneous release in Telugu and Tamil. It will be one of the first biggies to release in theatres post the Covid third wave.
As for Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan‘s Acharya, the action-oriented social drama which was initially announced for theatrical release on the 1st of April has altered the release plan. The film is now gearing up for theatrical release on the 29th of April.
These are the new proposed release dates for these big-ticket South Indian biggies and they are subject to chage. We need to wait for the official announcements from the makers of these respective projects now.
