Ishana Night Shayamalan’s directorial debut ‘The Watchers’ is going to be available to watch on rent soon. Audiences will be able to rent the movie on BMS Stream From the 20th of July.
The movie came out on the 7th of June this year and did average business at the box office. The movie is based on the novel of the same name by A. M. Shine that came out in 2022.
‘The Watchers’ starred actors like Dakota Fanning, Georgina Campbell, Olwen Fouéré, Oliver Finnegan and had the screenplay written by Ishana Shyamalan herself. It tells the story of a young artist who is left alone in a deserted and deep jungle. She finds a shelter but learns that it is a trap and the three strangers that she meets there are regularly stalked by mysterious creatures.
The music of the movie is given by Abel Korzeniowski and the cinematography is handled by Eli Arenson. The Watchers received negative to mixed reviews from critics and a heavy comparison was drawn with the style of her father M. Night Shyamalan’s filmmaking. Even though ‘The Watchers’ is nowhere near M. Night’s calibre, but it is pretty good for a one time watch.
