One highly anticipated live-action manga adaptation upcoming from Netflix is ‘One Piece’, the best-selling Japanese manga series of all time written and illustrated by Eiichiro Oda. The story revolves around Luffy, a young adventurer who has longed for a life of freedom ever since he can remember. He finally sets off from his small village on a dangerous journey to find the legendary fabled treasure! The motive: to become the unrivaled King of the Pirates!
The TV series has now officially cast the first set of new actors for its upcoming second season; adding the comic book adaptation’s versions of the iconic four villains. ‘Raised by Wolves’ actor Daniel Lasker will play Mr. 9, ‘Batwoman’s’ Camrus Johnson has been cast as Mr. 5, Jazzara Jaslyn from ‘Warrior’ is set to play Miss Valentine, and ‘Late Night With the Devil’ star David Dastmalchian will take up the role of Mr. 3.
This comes following the first season that starred Iñaki Godoy as the aspiring pirate king Monkey D. Luffy, alongside his crew played by Mackenyu as Roronoa Zoro, Emily Rudd as Nami, Jacob Romero as Usopp, and Taz Skylar as Sanji! All of whom are reprising their roles for Season 2!
