Yes, the first official teaser of Prime Video’s Spider-Noir series is out now—and surprisingly, it looks way better than we expected. Speaking of expectations, we all know how Sony’s Spider-Man Universe has turned out so far, so anticipation for the upcoming Nicolas Cage starrer wasn’t exactly sky-high.
Cage first appeared as Spider-Noir in the acclaimed animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. He also appeared briefly during the final moments of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, and he’s set to play a much bigger role in its 2027 follow-up, Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse.
With Prime Video’s Spider-Noir, Cage transitions to live-action with a comic-accurate version of the character. One of the first things that grabs our attention in the show’s teaser is his costume, which looks like it’s been pulled straight from the comics. And that’s a good thing!
Nicolas Cage’s Spider-Man Noir attire in the upcoming series faithfully recreates his comic book appearance. This live-action version features the signature fedora, trench coat, gloves, and goggles, making him stand out visually from the Spider-Man personas of Peter Parker and Miles Morales in the source material.
Although his costume mirrors the comics, the Spider-Noir series will introduce some changes to the character, most notably by establishing him as someone other than Peter Parker.
The teaser also confirms that Prime Video aims to build a distinct live-action Spider-Man universe centred on Cage’s character. Spider-Noir will be set in a black-and-white world, reflecting both the character’s visual aesthetic and the show’s 1930s backdrop.
Cage’s Spider-Man Noir looks spot-on, and his comic-accurate costume is a highlight. It already feels like a strong live-action adaptation of the animated Spider-Verse version. If handled right, this could evolve into a long-running series. Stay tuned for more updates.
