The fourth instalment of the ‘True Detective’ crime drama series titled ‘True Detective: Night Country’ premiered exactly one month back on HBO. Until now, five out of a total of six episodes have been aired and the finale will be aired on 18th February.
And ‘True Detective’ Season-4 has become the most watched season and boasts of a whopping 12.7 million cross platform viewers. And in doing that, ‘True Detective S4’ has surpassed the first season’s 11.9 million viewer average.
‘True Detective: Night Country’ latest episode, Episode-5, has crossed 5 million viewers since it came out on Max on 9th February. If we compare ‘True Detective S4’ views with some of the recently released HBO titles, then ‘Succession S4’ averaged 7.9 million viewers while ‘The White Lotus S2’ averaged 8.6 million views.
As of now, ‘True Detective: Night Country’ has got a highly impressive critics’ score of 92% on reviews aggregation website Rotten Tomatoes. The season’s basic plot revolves around Detectives Liz Danvers (Jodie Foster) and Evangeline Navarro (Kali Reis) who investigate the case of the mysterious disappearance of a group of six men who work at the Tsalal Arctic Research Station in Ennis, Alaska. The duo must unearth the truth while dealing with their own demons.
