Entertainment industry circles are buzzing with the news that ‘Nishabdham’, Anushka Shetty and R Madhavan’s much awaited suspense thriller, is going direct to digital. The film, produced by Kona Venkat, has apparently been bought by Amazon Prime Video for a jaw-dropping figure of 25 Crores. Insiders are also hinting that Nishabdham will stream on Amazon Prime Video in the second half of September.
Nishabdham has been directed by Hemant Madhukar. It features Baahubali star Anushka Shetty as a mute artist, while co-star R Madhavan portrays a well-known musician. Michael Madsen, Shalini Pandey (of Arjun Reddy fame) and Anjali play pivotal roles in the movie. Nishabdham is a bilingual film in Tamil and Telugu. It will also be available in dubbed versions in Malayalam, Hindi, and English.
The first indication that Nishabdham is going direct to digital came earlier this week, when producer Kona Venkat ran a Twitter poll on his official Twitter account, asking viewers where they would like to watch Nishabdham. An overwhelming 56% voted for a digital premiere for the movie. Have a look at Kona Venkat’s Twitter post, and stay tuned to Binged.com for further news on Nishabdham.
