After a lukewarm success in Kanakam Kamini Kalaham (2021), Writer-Director Ratheesh Balakrishnan Poduval is back with Kunchacko Boban starrer ‘Nna Thaan Case Kodu’ (translated as ‘Sue Me’). Ratheesh is very much regarded as one of the most promising malayalam directors of this decade after his work in critically and commercially acclaimed malayalam language film Android Kunjappan Ver 5.25 (2019). Nna Thaan Case Kodu theatrically releases on 12th August, 2022. The team released its official teaser today and piqued interests of an already intrigued audience.
The makers had released a cryptic poster few days ago that showed an injury on Kunchacko Boban’s legs hinting at a dog-bite with a cryptic tag-line ‘The dog has bitten the thief. What happens next?’. The teaser introduces Kunchacko’s character who apparently is the thief at a court-room explaining his case with a totally unrelated ruling as a reference. He tries to claim that the one responsible for the dog-bite is apparently the owner and some pre-existing legal feud between the two. There isn’t much revealed in the teaser except the fact that we are in for a court-room satire.
Nna Thaan Case Kodu promises yet another unique, quirky, and rooted drama from Ratheesh whose previous films were sci-fi drama and black comedy respectively. Nna Thaan Case Kodu stars Kunchacko Boban and Gayathrie Shankar in lead roles. Saiju Kurup, Vinay Forrt and Rajesh Madhavan also appear in supporting roles.
According to sources, the streaming rights of Nna Thaan Case Kodu are bagged by Disney+Hotstar. Nna Thaan Case Kodu is produced by Santhosh T Kuruvilla under the banner STK Frames and is also co-produced by Kunchacko Boban. The music and background score is composed by Dawn Vincent. Rakesh Haridas is in charge of the cinematography and Manoj Kannoth is the Editor.
