From the last few days, there were reports that Senior Producer Suresh Babu is reconsidering his decision to skip the theatrical release of his Narappa, Drushyam 2, and Virata Parvam. But now it appears like Suresh Babu is still keen on the OTT Release for these films.
In an interview, he has responded to the ultimatum of the Telangana film chamber of commerce. “The Problems of the Exhibitors are understandable. They have been facing losses and they want films to release in theatres. The producers have the problems of their own. So decisions like these are made independently and it must be left to the stakeholders involved. Hope things improve soon,” Suresh Babu said.
It almost appears like Suresh Babu has confirmed the OTT release for his films. He also indicated that he gives a damn about the threats of the Telugu film chamber of commerce. These comments comes at the time when the theater business in both the Telugu States is looking at a restart later this month. This statement by a senior Producer will reflect the uncertainty in the industry even though there are signs of redemption. We will have to wait and see how the Telangana film chamber of commerce will react to this statement.
