Durga Puja was the appropriate time for Bengali movie release, with an appropriate amount of press conferences and enough promotion, the Bengali industry was successful to promote its three major releases during that time.
But, as the time is passing and we are slowly approaching Diwali, we found no major release during this time.
But, it seems like we are wrong. Directed by Debapratimm Dasgupta, “Abar Asibo Firey” is releasing on October 25th.
But why isn’t there any news about it?
It feels like the industry is repeating the same mistake again, of not promoting the movie at all.
The movie features Rwitobroto Mukherjee in the leading role, and it deals with the fading culture of rural bengal.
2 days ago, the actor shared the teaser of the film on his Instagram account, but it looks like the actors, including the director, are not putting any effort in promoting the movie.
So much so, in PVR’s official website the poster of the film is not released yet, when the movie is about to release in just 3 days.
It looks like the movie is not a project of any big publishing house, this can be one of the major reasons why this movie is not gathering any audience at all.
Keeping this thing in mind, that promotion is needed for a film to reach a certain amount of audience, if the industry is not willing to do that, then of course just like the theme of the movie, many films from the industry will stay unknown to the majority.
