The upcoming mystery thriller movie ‘Blurr’ is all set to start streaming on the Zee5 OTT platform from 9th December onwards. As you all might already know, ‘Blurr’ is the Hindi language remake of the critically acclaimed 2010 Spanish psychological horror thriller movie ‘Julia’s Eyes’.
For those of you who still haven’t seen the parent film ‘Julia’s Eyes’, it’s certainly one of the foremost reasons to watch ‘Blurr’. But it’s not the best reason according to us.
Because Hindi remakes of foreign films do not always replicate the original films’ success and/or quality. Some recent examples are ‘Thank God’ (remake of Danish film Sorte Kugler), ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ (Forrest Gump remake but box-office flop), ‘Dhamaka’ (remake of The Terror Live), etc.
Now, coming straight to the point: The biggest reason to watch ‘Blurr’ on Zee5 is none other than the film’s talented director – Ajay Bahl. ‘Blurr’ is Ajay Bahl’s third feature film directorial project. Before this, he had directed the widely admired 2012 neo-noir erotic thriller ‘B.A. Pass’ and the terrific and gripping legal thriller ‘Section 375’ starring Akshaye Khanna, Richa Chadha, and Rahul Bhat.
With the two aforementioned films ‘B.A. Pass’ and ‘Section 375’ under his belt, we are extremely hopeful that ‘Blurr’ would prove to be a hat-trick for Ajay Bahl’s directorial filmography. And who knows, ‘Blurr’ might even surpass the original film ‘Julia’s Eyes’ in terms of its entertainment quotient.
The mystery thriller movie ‘Blurr’ features Taapsee Pannu as a woman named Gayatri. She is on the verge of losing her vision. While dealing with her degenerative eye disorder, Gayatri is also investigating her twin sister Gautami’s mysterious death. The movie also features Gulshan Devaiah in an important role. Before Ajay Bahl’s ‘Blurr’ starts streaming this Friday on Zee5, you can watch the film’s trailer below.
