The story follows two newly married couples who get swapped during a train journey because of the confusion with veil. The story takes place at the time when phones were a privilege that people used to carry.
The movie talks about societal dogmatism, where women are still treated as an object.
Apart from commercial movies, currently movies like “Laapataa Ladies”, “12th Fail” they are creating a noise in the industry. The sheer simplicity of the story which deals with such sensitive social issues is something which is becoming very unique to the viewers.
And, because of that very reason , Laapataa Ladies took over Animal in Netflix with 13.8 million views.
The blockbuster Animal played a pivotal role in the recent box office and after its OTT release the hype didn’t go down, but here stays the fact that a well narrated story can take over unnecessary violence anytime.
After the release of Animal, audiences had polarised views on it, although most of them were negative. Some claimed that this movie is not worth watching, while some constructively criticise it.
