‘Jubilee’ directed by Vikramaditya Motwane is going to release on the 7th of this April on Amazon Prime Video and the makers are executing new methods of promotion for the series.
On the 6th of April, for only this day, four Bollywood classics will be screened on Andheri PVR. Guru Dutt’s two movies ‘Mr And Mrs. 55’ and ‘Pyaasa’ along with Rajesh Khanna’s ‘Kati Patang’ and ‘Aradhana’ are the four films that will be screened. Aradhana and Kati Patang are directed by Shakti Samanta and the other two are directed by Guru Dutt himself.
‘Jubilee’ is based on the 1940s and 1950s film world of Bombay. It has a star studded cast with wonderful actors like Aditi Rao Hydari, Aparshakti Khurana, Prasenjit Chatterjee and many others. Vikramaditya Motwane is one of the most trusted filmmakers of India and has impressed the audiences with all his projects. Hopefully Jubilee will be no exception. Amazon Prime Video and the makers are exhibiting new horizons in the promotion strategies of web shows. Screening of old films is nothing new to promote a new project, it has happened at the time of Avatar and some other films too. But it is indeed new to promote a web series.
If you are a fan of old Bollywood classics, you can watch these four films on the 6th of April in PVR, Andheri. This is indeed a novel way of introducing the world of the retro Bollywood Talkies through old films. Vikramaditya Motwane, as usual, introduces many new things to the industry with his projects and with this he introduces a new way of promotions as well.
