‘The Black Phone’ is coming back again and the release dates for the sequel are announced. Universal and Blumhouse have announced that the second installment of the series will come to theaters on the 27th of June in 2025.
The makers say that the coming of ‘The Black Phone 2’ will mark the beginning of a ‘sinister new franchise’.
Ethan Hawke returned to the big screens with this much acclaimed horror movie and his role as the Grabber was appreciated by all. The movie was directed by Scott Derrickson and apart from Ethan Hawke, the movie starred Madeleine McGraw, Jeremy Davies, E. Roger Mitchell, Troy Rudeseal, James Ransone and Miguel Cazarez Mora.
‘The Black Phone’ tells the story of a young boy named Finney who is captured by a serial killer, who is called the Grabber. He is held inside the basement of his house where he can see nothing but a disconnected phone. But the phone starts ringing and Finney, when he picks it up, can talk to the previous victims of the killer. All the dead victims try to save Finney and help him through.
The cast list of the sequel is not revealed yet, but probably Ethan Hawke will return as the Grabber. The director too might return for the second part. Fans are excited for the movie. The Black Phone was one of the best horrors made in the year and if you haven’t watched it yet, you should give it a try.
