Now Is The Best Time For Netflix’s “Alma Matters” Release- Here’s Why!

Netflix recently unveiled the trailer for its upcoming docu-series titled “Alma Matters: Inside the IIT Dream”. The docuseries will look into India’s one of the most coveted and celebrated institutes, the mighty IIT Kharagpur. As much as it is appreciated, everyone knows the hardships of getting into an IIT, that too the one at Kharagpur and the series will delve exactly into that.

The streamer has scheduled to release the docu-series on 14th of May and will be a 3 part series. We believe this might be the best time to release such an important series for people to stream. India at the moment is going through a crisis and as everyone knows every single college or institution has gone back to teaching through online classes and holding online exams.

While that happens at college, most kids will be graduating from their schools and will be looking for an institute for their engineering. Engineering has always been the prime choice for parents all over India and also getting into an IIT, the most important thing.

As if 11th and 12th weren’t hard enough, these kids are pushed into endless coaching and tuitions which does nothing for their productivity but only kills it. Some become so determined and some, so pressurised that dropping a year after school seems like the best option so that they can prepare themselves for the JEE, which is the entrance exam for IITs.

The pandemic which likely has slowed down things, especially in the education sector has given a sort of breather to the ones who have been wrecking their brains. The children know what it will cost them to get into these and they are ready for it. Some just want to do that so that they can answer their parents and the parents can answer people positively in the society.

The show is best suited for these people as this will definitely show some of the darkest and harshest truths of getting into IITs or even Engineering for the matter. If anything can help the children change their parents’ minds, then this show might be the answer.

Also, this show comes as boon for those who have always dreamt of getting into the institute. Being a docu-series, the dark truths won’t be sugar coated. This will give them a chance to think and evaluate their choices of what comes with all these.

The pandemic is nerve racking at the moment, especially for those who are getting into the next level, leaving schools and getting into colleges. The feeling of uncertainty is heavily looming around, but this period might be the best time to make changes or even create new plans, so that whatever one does next in their academic lives, don’t regret a single moment in the coming years.
