Long before the two movies, Ujda Chaman and Bala, made a song and dance about the travails of progressive hair loss and baldness, came a movie that touched upon the topic with sensitivity and humour. That movie was Gone Kesh – a movie about Alopecia and baldness, which had a quiet release in March 2019. The only difference between this movie and the two aforementioned and celebrated movies is that the protagonist in the latter is female, while the former had male protagonists. Quite interesting, isn’t it?
Gone Kesh started streaming on Amazon Prime Video this week, and we believe it is a stellar watch. Amazon Prime may have decided to stream it now, eight months after its release, apparently, to cash in on the noise created on the issue of baldness by the two recent releases on the same. But then, we ain’t complaining.
Coz the movie boasts great performances by the cast — consummate actress Shweta Tripathi, web stalwart Jitendra Kumar, Deepika Amin, Vipin Sharma and Brijendra Kala. Shweta Tripathi portrays the trails and tribulations of a young girl afflicted with baldness, albeit in a warm, humorous way.
The movie received good reviews when it first released in the theatres. So if you missed catching it then, no worries. It’s now streaming on Amazon Prime Video. Watch it now, guys!
