After a long wait of over two years the eagerly anticipated collaboration between Jr NTR and director Prashant Neel has finally seen the light of the day. Announced back in 2022 and since put on hold due to other commitments of both the actor and director, the yet to be titled film has now started filming.
The announcement of kick starting of #NTRNeel was made on social media with pictures from the Pooja ceremony held to commemorate the beginning of the project. This was supposedly only the opening ceremony and a proper launch ceremony will be held later with other cast and crew members attending as well.
Makers also revealed that #NTRNeel has locked 9th January, 2026 as the worldwide release date for the film with a caption that read, “This time, the earth will tremble under his reign!” The poster launched today is charcoal grey with #NTRNeel written in the center of what appears to be a grid like background covered with dense smoke.
This time, the earth will tremble under his reign! 🔥#NTRNeel will step onto the soil on January 9th, 2026 ❤️🔥

According to certain reports, the film might be titled ‘Dragon’ and is probably a high octane action entertainer. The pre-production work has been underway for quite some time now. Directed by Prashant Neel (‘KGF’ franchise, ‘Salaar’) and starring ‘RRR’ fame Jr. NTR, #NTRNeel is produced by Mythri Movie Makers and NTR Arts.
Jr. NTR is currently busy with the promotions of his upcoming highly anticipated film ‘Devara – Part 1’ by Koratala Siva set to release in theatres on 27th September, 2024. He is also working on his Hindi debut ‘War 2’ co-starring Hrithik Roshan.
