Kamal Haasan’s much-hyped venture ‘Vikram’, which is certainly one of the most anticipated films, is all geared up for its grand theatrical release today. And now we have a confirmed update on the post-theatrical streaming platform for ‘Vikram’. It is now official that OTT giant Disney+ Hotstar has bagged the OTT rights for the big-ticket film.
Regarding Vikram’s OTT release date on Disney+ Hotstar, there has been no official confirmation as of now. However, as per the latest buzz, the film is expected to start streaming on Disney+ Hotstar sometime in the month of August.
Having said that, the OTT release date for ‘Vikram’ on Disney+ Hotstar will more or less depend on the film’s performance at the box office in the coming days. This implies that if the film performs really well in theatres, its OTT release could also be postponed. On the other hand, in case the film underperforms, it can arrive on OTT sooner than expected. In case the word of mouth for ‘Vikram’ continues with the positive trend, it could well become the next blockbuster after ‘RRR’ and ‘KGF: Chapter 2’.
