Creators Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK aka Raj & DK are all set for an exciting new project with Netflix India for their first ever action fantasy series titled ‘Rakt Bramhand – The Bloody Kingdom’ that has now begun filming.
The show will be an extension of Raj & DK’s collaboration with Netflix India following their successful last outing ‘Guns & Gulaabs’ and is part of their multi-year deal signed in 2022 with the streaming giant.
Joining the creator duo for ‘Rakt Bramhand’ are ‘Tumbbad’ filmmaker Rahi Anil Barve and writer Sita R. Menon. Produced under Raj & DK’s D2R Films, ‘Rakt Bramhand’ is set to feature action sequences and visual effects within a fictional kingdom setting.
Raj & DK are Indian filmmaker duo who have established themselves as innovative and creative writers, directors, creators and producers. While they have made a number of films and shows, they rose to fame with Amazon Prime Video’s ‘The Family Man’ and have since achieved greater heights. Their next project for Prime Video ‘Farzi’ was also a massive hit and they have now gone international as well signing an Indian segment of ‘Citadel’ with Russo Brothers.
On the other hand, Rahi Anil Barve created a name for himself with ‘Tumbbad’ which has a been cult movie. He is also working on projects like ‘Mayasabha’, and ‘Gulkanda Tales’.
Coming to Menon, she has been a frequent collaborator with Raj & DK and has worked with them as their writing partner, creative producer and creative partner on various movies and shows. They have worked together on titles like ‘Shor In The City’, ‘Go Goa Gone’, ‘Happy Ending’, ‘A Gentleman’, ‘The Family Man’, ‘Farzi’, ‘Guns & Gulaabs’, and upcoming ‘Citadel: Hunny Bunny’ and ‘Farzi 2’.
Talking about ‘Rakt Bramhand’ Raj & DK said: “This is uncharted territory which makes it all the more thrilling for us. Our goal is to develop a fictional world that is both original and reminiscent of the fantastical tales we have heard in our childhood. We are having an amazing time working with the very talented Rahi and our uber versatile partner Sita to bring this unique vision to life.
