Brahmāstra’s domestic collection has crossed 35 crores and it is said to have made over 75 crores worldwide only on its first day of release. The weekend collection is going to be huge and there is not a single doubt about it. Brahmāstra will most probably cross 4 millions in its first weekend in the USA.
A lot of negative reviews came from Bollywood critics. Bollywood critics are bashing the film while South Indian critics called it an average fim at best. Few Bollywood known critics have given one star or two star ratings. And it has been rated as ‘disappointing’, ‘personification of disaster’ and many more. But the box office figures show something else. The negative reviews and ratings are totally ignored by the masses and the shows are housefull.
So many trends about boycotting Brahmāstra and boycotting Bollywood are seeming to go in vain and this movie has the potential to turn the tables for Bollywood with a blockbuster success. The hype is perfectly managed and the film promotions managed to make the release such a huge event.
The ratings of the critics are having Zero impact on the excitement of the audience and few critics are failing to judge the minds of the masses or their judgement is far from movie goers. Though not all of the audience agrees that Brahmāstra is a good or great film, it definitely is not a typical Bollywood trash as it is claimed to be by critics.
