Diehard movie buffs must already know that popular entertainment website IMDb houses a list of the Top 250 highest rated TV Shows from across the globe. Several Indian shows like ‘Rocket Boys’, ‘Scam 1992’, ‘Panchayat’, and ‘The Family Man’, etc. have also found a place on the coveted IMDb list.
But if we take into account the recently released Indian shows, only one amongst them was able to crack the said IMDb Top 250 list. Any wild guesses? You might be surprised to know that a relatively lesser known but brilliant Indian series was included on the IMDb list some time back. We are talking about ‘Sapne Vs Everyone’, which found a spot on the list for some time, but later it was removed.
‘Sapne Vs Everyone’ still holds a fantastic user rating of 9.5/10 on IMDb. For the sake of comparison, another TVF series ‘Aspirants’ currently holds an IMDb rating of 9.2/10. So, ‘Sapne Vs Everyone’ has surpassed even the highly rated ‘Aspirants’ in this regard. Although the number of ratings for ‘Aspirants’ is much higher.
‘Sapne Vs Everyone’ starts off with two parallel stories: first one revolves around an honest and virtuous man Prashant (Paramvir Cheema), who dreams of becoming the lead actor of a theatre play while unwillingly working in a real-estate company to financially support his mother’s critical illness. The second lead character is an ambitious man Jimmy (Ambrish Verma), who wants to earn loads of money by hook or by crook. Their stories collide when Jimmy joins Prashant’s company and they strike a unique bond with each other. The series has been directed by one of the lead actors Ambrish Verma.
‘Sapne Vs Everyone’ consists of five episodes, and you can stream it for free on the YouTube channel of The Viral Fever (TVF). Highly recommended gem!
