Oscar Isaac is in talks for the lead role in Marvel and Disney+ upcoming series ‘Moon Knight’, as per media reports. This latest Marvel series is based on the fictional superhero of the same name in Marvel’s comic book.
A Golden Globe nominee, Oscar Isaac who is now almost done with his Star Wars franchise is among the most sought after actors in the industry. Other than Star Wars, he is well know for his roles in Inside Llewyn Davis, A Most Violent Year, Ex Machina, X-Men Apocalypse and more.
Moon Knight is the story of Marc Spector – a former boxer, CIA agent and a mercenary who gets resurrected from near death by Egyptian moon god Khonshu, on one condition that he would become his avatar on earth. And that’s how Marc gets superhuman abilities and starts fighting crime. He has many identities including millionaire Steven Grant and cab driver Jake Lockley.
Moon Knight will be developed by Jeremy Slater who will also lead the writing team for the Marvel and Disney+ show. Slater has earlier developed and wrote the series adaptation of ‘The Umbrella Academy’ comic book for Netflix. The director for the series is yet to be finalised by Marvel and Disney+, along with the date to begin production.
Oscar Isaac has a number of titles coming up in near future including, crime drama ‘The Card Counter’ by Paul Schrader and the much awaited Denis Villeneuve’s ‘Dune’. He will also be seen in the HBO limited series ‘Scenes from a Marriage’ alongside Jessica Chastain.
