May December is an Oscar nominated film that came out as a rage last year. The movie starring Julianne Moore and Natalie Portman was greatly appreciated and won several awards. Especially the two leads are some of the finest actresses working in the present generation Hollywood.
Regardless, May December was released on Netflix last year in December. Sadly, Netflix had rights to only the USA and Canada region. Thus, no India in that. But, the movie is thankfully streaming in India too.
Before that. Let’s tell you a little bit about the overall plot. Natalie Portman plays an actress who is to play the life of a woman (played by Julianne Moore) who remained in a 24 year old relationship with her husband. That woman at 36 had sex with a 13 year old kid and later married him. These dynamics start affecting the actress mentally and the film follows the same trajectory.
As the premise already specifies, it is not an easy film to watch. It requires a lot of patience and tolerance to understand such films and characters.
The movie is available to stream on Prime Video. If you are interested in watching such kind of films then May December is something you must watch. Interestingly, the film started streaming on Netflix in December and Prime Video in May.
