Black comedy film ‘Triangle Of Sadness’ has been one of the most talked about films of 2022. It is the English language film debut of Swedish filmmaker Ruben Östlund. Triangle Of Sadness has enthralled audiences at film festivals around the world, winning an eight-minute standing ovation at Cannes Film Festival, along with the top prize at the festival, the prestigious Palme d’Or. Well, our wish has been granted. Now, the acclaimed film is finally set to premiere in theatres in India, on 3rd March to be specific.
Film exhibition company ‘Impact Films’ is bringing ‘Triangle Of Sadness’ to Indian theatre screens this March. The company is also the driving force behind the theatrical releases of 2022’s breakout hit ‘Everything Everywhere All At Once’, Korean drama, ‘Broker’, and the acclaimed ‘The Whale’.
‘Triangle Of Sadness’ is a dark satirical comedy on the whimsical ways of the rich, and their absolute disconnect with reality. The story is told from the perspective of a couple of influencers/models, who get invited to a cruise on a luxurious yatch, amidst the rich and wealthy. Hilarious situations unfold on the cruise when it is hit by an unexpected storm, showcasing how the rich are abominably out of touch with reality.
The official synopsis of ‘Triangle Of Sadness’ reads – “Carl and Yaya, a couple of influencers, are invited to a luxury cruise ship alongside a group of out of touch wealthy people. The situation takes an unexpected turn when a brutal storm hits the ship.”
Triangle Of Sadness stars Harris Dickinson, Charlbi Dean, Dolly de Leon, Zlatko Burić, Henrik Dorsin, Vicki Berlin, and Woody Harrelson in pivotal roles. The film releases in Indian theatres on 3rd March.
