Oscar Award-winning director Kathryn Bigelow is soon bringing a new movie to Netflix. After losing a major chance at Oscars 2022, Netflix is not a bit discouraged and they are again investing time and money into more such projects.
Regardless, Kathryn Bigelow, if you don’t already know, is the first woman ever to win an Academy Award for best direction. Her film ‘The Hurt Locker’ won the prestigious yet controversial award in 2010 which was based on the USA soldiers in Iraq.
But now she is all set to bring a new movie called Aurora exclusively on Netflix. This will be based on an upcoming novel called Aurora written by non-other than the highly successful USA based screenwriter David Koepp. The novel is yet to come but Netflix has already announced a movie and that too with a director as influential as Kathryn Bigelow.
According to the official data provided by the streaming giant, it will be based on characters who cope with the collapsing social orders that will be a result of the global power crisis.
In the comment section of this announcement, a lot of people are calling it a documentary, obviously in reference to the current situation in Ukraine. But it will be interesting to see what this film promises.
