AppleTV is getting everything ready to be amongst the most subscribed OTT platforms and this upcoming show with Justin Timberlake as the lead is a proof!
Apple recently acquired rights of Justin’s drama ‘Palmer’ from SK Global and director Fisher Stevens. Three incredibly talented women – Juno Temple, Alisha Wainwright, and Oscar nominee June Squibb will be seen alongside Timberlake. You’ll see a new face as Ryder Allen, a newcomer, joins the cast. The script, written by Cherry Guerriero appeared on 2016 Black list.
The story follows Palmer (Justin Timberlake), a former college football star who lost all his fame when he was imprisoned. After completing his prison sentence, Palmer returns to his hometown to start fresh. Unfortunately, his past tags along and he later finds himself involved in an unusual bond with a little abandoned boy. He starts taking care of the boy and meanwhile, gets into a relationship with a teacher.
This show will join other AppleTV originals starring well known Hollywood faces. Their recent and debut show stars Tom Hanks in world war feature ‘Greyhound.’ Other upcoming projects include ‘Emancipation’ starring Will Smith; Martin Scorsese’s ‘Killers of the Flower Moon,’ and the Jake Gyllenhaal’s graphic novel adaptation ‘Snow Blind.’
