The new year has just begun and OTT already looks very very promising. Why are we saying so?
Look at the note it has started. The buzziest OTT originals are Curry and Cyanide: The Jolly Joseph Case and Kho Gaye Hum Kahan, both of them are really good but the former is just excellent.
Which are the licensed titles that are making noise on OTT? Three Of Us and 12th Fail. Easily, both of them are one of the finest films of 2023 and they deserve every bit of praise that they are getting. We wish this love was also showered while these films were in theaters, but, better late than never.
Regardless, the sole purpose of OTT apart from easy and cheap entertainment is the appreciation it gets from the audience. Not every film is meant for a grand theatrical experience and since theaters are expensive, audiences choose to spend wisely on the kind of films they wanna watch.
Imagine a film like Bulbbul coming to the big screens. No wonder it would be a beautiful experience but it would be downright rejected by the masses. However, it would still be an amazing film in every aspect.
So may good films/series get appreciated, and bad titles are trolled and stopped. That should be our vision for 2024 and forever.
