Thanksgiving is an enormously powerful tool. A simple 6 letter word can mean a world to many people. There are people who work all day long and hard for serving other people and earn for their families. Our simple gesture can be a day changer and we must bring that word in use whenever someone deserves that.
So this is our recommendation to thank people and powers around you. But before we start, let’s take a moment to bestow thanks to our film industry which is entertaining us for many decades now.
Guzaarish- Netflix
This enormously impactful film was way ahead of its time. This is one of those films that can entirely change you from within your core. It’s not the brilliant performance by Hrithik or dazzling sets or it’s out of box subject. The perception it gives towards life is something we must thank Sanjay Leela Bhansali for.
If we are able to stretch our bodies, walk on our own, take care of our body and have a non-leaking roof over our head then we must thank the higher power for that.
Because this film makes us learn that sometimes we may need to kill our lover simply because we love them.
Drishyam- Prime Video
I doubt whether all of us get into similar trouble as George Kutty did, but we don’t need that situation to thank our families. Most of the time you must have observed your family supporting you like a rock.
Even if they are not supporting you, their intentions for you may not be wrong. All they would be trying is to hope for the best. So let’s take a moment and thank our families on Thanksgiving day. Because Drishyam is the epitome of a man trying to protect his family.
Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara- Netflix
Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara is a cult classic. It is a highly impactful and memorable film that never lets us get bored with it. Sometimes, we don’t want to say anything but we definitely want someone to understand us.
Kabir was seriously unhappy with the marriage he was going to be involved in. Arjun was earning a great deal of money but still wasn’t happy with it. Imran had so much in himself that he wanted to say but he never had the courage to say it aloud.
But when the three friends got together, they understood each other without anyone saying anything. Shouldn’t our friends be thanked on thanksgiving day?
Taare Zameen Par- Netflix
A great mentor is the one who directs our life to greatness. There can be no substitute whatsoever to a mentor who truly believes in uplifting his/her students. That mentor need not be your teacher only. They can be your friends or even family members.
It is their guidance that we need to succeed and to give meaning to our success. Although no words can be enough, we should still say at least a Thank You to our mentors.

Sardar Udham Singh- Prime Video
This type of film has never been made in Bollywood ever. It is great to a whole next level. It may not have a mass appeal but it is definitely thought-provoking to an enormous extent.
We might be binge-watching movies or series. But let’s not forget that there are soldiers who are guarding us day and night that cost them even their life in many instances.
We are living in an independent country because a lot of people sacrificed their lives for that. No word can ever be enough to do justice to what they did and are still doing. But thanks on thanksgiving day can still be a great choice.
