Purab Kohli and Rashika Duggal are coming back this week with yet another plot of revenge. Yes, as Out of Love Season 2 is about to be aired this week, fans are anticipating which Hollywood story the makers are going to take inspiration from, this time. The answer is quite fascinating. Out of Love season 2 will be based on an original story. As we all know, Out of Love season 1 was based on the BBC Studio’s thriller drama Doctor Foster, this time makers are going for an original storyline with a continuation of season 1.
The season 2 of Out of Love will reportedly take place 3 years from the events of season 1. Fans have already witnessed the confrontation of Akarsh Kapoor, played by Purab Kohli by Rashika Duggal’s character Doctor Meera after the latter found out about an affair of her husband. We are yet to come across the plot of the season 2 but it’s evident from the trailer released a few days back, that the plot will surely be thickening as Akarsh will be back to settle the score with Doctor Meera and the revenge will partially center around their son, Abhi.
Out of Love season 2 is reportedly shot in Coonoor and is directed by Oni Sen. The series has been produced by Sameer Gogate and BBC Studios. Apart from Purab Kohli and Rashika Duggal, this season will also feature Meenakshi Chaudhary, Sanghmitra Hitaishi, Harsh Chhaya, Ekavali Khanna, Suhaas Ahuja. Preeti Mamgain. Rajesh Chadha and Eisha Chopra will be donning the writer’s hat for this one.
Purab Kohli is around for a long time now in the industry and he has some fantastic titles associated with his name such as My Brother…Nikhil, Rock On series, Jal and many more. Talking about the character of Akarsh, He reportedly stated that manipulation is second nature to Akarsh’s character and he is willing to go to any lengths in destroying Meera. He described the second season as a psychological warfare and added, “The level of tension between the characters and intense moments fuelled by several plot twists will keep the viewers guessing till the very end.”
On the other hand, Rashika Duggal, who has already made a name for herself working on off-bit projects like A Suitable Boy, Mirzapur, Delhi Crime, Lootcase, Manto, Tahaan said, “People deal with betrayal in different ways and this season dives into the feeling of revenge. For me, it was an opportunity to explore Meera Kapoor further and delve into her unpredictability. I am eager to see how audiences respond to this season.”
Now as Purab and Rashika are gearing up for this brand new season of revenge in Out of Love season 2, the fans are also going berserk as it is scheduled to go live on this Friday, April 30th on Hotstar VIP.
